Soph Metcalf (they / them / theirs) is a proud AEA member and New York-based actor, singer, musician, and interdisciplinary performance artist.

Soph plays Tanya in the upcoming queer rom-com short What Are We? (dir. Eileen Hanley) which is a Cannes Indie Short Semi-Finalist.

Recently, they played Maple in the apocalyptic coming-of-age short Heirloom (dir. Alec Simmons / Hudsy), and appear in Riis: A Gay Odd-ussy (short; dir. Claire McClain) as a hot glittery siren.

Also on screen: I Am No Longer Here (Netflix; Fernando Frías de la Parra), Mean Girl Murders (ID Discovery; dir Bill Kerr), Bugged (pilot; dir. Katie Schiller), Emily, Rachel, & Joseph (indie feature; dir. Joseph O’Malley).

On stage: The Acting Company, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, and Santa Cruz Shakespeare.

They make their own work, and have worked with Tectonic Theatre Project, Make/Shift Theatre, The Maker’s Ensemble, The New York Neofuturists, and Fringe festivals across Canada.

They are represented by Avalon Artists Group and MC Talent.
