In addition to performing, I am a writer and acting coach. I teach Fitzmaurice Voice Work and Knight Thompson Speechwork (KTS), both of which I studied while at UC Irvine. I also love teaching mime, clown, and other physical theatre techniques. Foundational in my work is the belief that all voice work is body work.
I recently joined the Voice and Speech Faculty at AMDA here in NYC. It’s been a wonderful way to deepen my own craft while inspiring other young artists.
I offer sliding-scale private coaching, focusing on Shakespeare and audition techniques (especially for college and MFA auditions). If this is of interest, get in touch.
Academically, I am interested in the queer and/or female body’s radical occupation of public and performative spaces. In other words, I write about gender and performance. I have previously been published in The Channel Undergraduate Review (McGill University) and The Acacia Group (CSU Fullerton), and presented at the AGS Symposium (Honorary Mention; UC Irvine) and the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association. I am an Inclusive Excellence Ambassador for UCI’s Office of Inclusive Excellence, a 2020 Medici Scholar, and an ARIA recipient.
I got my BA from McGill University and my MFA in Acting from UC Irvine.
